krishi Uthan kendra
This is our 2nd year project where we got to understand vernacular architecture of rajasthan and implement it in the design in the name of The Krashi uthan Kendra which being a building to facilitate the farmers must be built to integrate with the architecture of the village and is a vernacular structure (Built using local material and technique).

KHATU IS A SMALL TOWN IN RAJASTHAN,INDIA . THE VILLAGE IS A COMMON DESTINATIONFOR HINDU PILGRIMSSINCE THERE IS A SACRED HINDU TEMPLE ,SHYAM BABA NEARBY. AND A HOLY POND
As these Kendra are to be built all across the state the prototype for Shekhawati region of Rajasthan need to be built.
Objectives
1. Understanding the design of built and open spaces as a resultant of socio-cultural influences of the place
2. To understand the significance of light and ventilation in an office and public building
5. To incorporate vernacular/traditional planning approach in the current era urban setting project
6. To understand and focus on the built up profile.
Challenges
a) Design a sustainable working space. (Sustainable means proper natural light, ventilation)
b) Integration of multi-use space in a single building block. c) Creating different relief spaces (Informal spaces) for a public building which are not described in the area programme but have very important role in a public building.
d) Providing dedicated spaces, the built environment of the project has to reflect the
vernacular architecture of the region.
Concept
The concept is to create a simple yet very sustainable building with vernacular materials like flagstone sandstone and limestone plus making it such that very less resources are required in terms of cooling and overall performance .
