Recognized as a core sector, the auto
industry contributes 49 percent to India’s manufacturing GDP, 7.5 percent to the
GDP at large, and is responsible for 32 million jobs..

States like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Haryana also possess a significant presence of automobile companies. However, while these states exhibit a robust connection to automobileresearch and development centers, the state of Gujarat has yet to fully tap into this resource, which could prove highly beneficial to it
